Construction View approached Your.com with a concept to create a fully self-contained photographic system that allows builders, developers and clients to track their building’s progress via a daily updated portal (dashboard) available on the internet. The brief was:
- To utilize the latest wireless technology, high definition cameras, integrated hard drive and modems
- Be accessible 24/7 via secure dashboard website
- To provide full control of the website by CV Administrators.
- To be clean, easy to use and fast.
Your.com delivered a solution with a dashboard to control the following functionality:

- Cameras email photos to the server where we import the photos and data into the dashboard database
- Customized functionalities for different users.
- Developers are able to view all projects in one dashboard
- Construction View Administrators have full functionality and control over the dashboard
- View high resolution photos of construction site from various cameras updated hourly
- Zoom feature with panning
- Split screen feature allowing the user to view two different images on specific time and date
- Overlay feature allowing user to overlay two photos from different date and time and view the difference using the horizontal and vertical controllers
- Time lapse feature
- Save / print and email photos
- Visual calendar
- Construction View Administrators, developers, builders and customers have different levels of dashboard access

The system is currently being used by Hansen and Yunken for Victoria University and The National Ice skating rink projects. The system is also used by Metricon and Inform homes.
